Silver and Gold Cameo (Camafeu) Brooch with marcasites, part of the Marcasites Collection.

Marcasite jewels became popular in Portugal in the early 20th century as silver replicas of traditional pieces of Portuguese jewelry from the 18th century, which were made of gold and diamonds. The name Marcasite comes from the natural gem in these jewels.

Silver 925‰ brooch and synthetic cameo with 5,0cm and 12,2gr. Details in gold 9Kt with 0,5gr.  Can also be used as a medal - necklace not included. Handmade in Portugal.
